Mykonos Town Walking Tour (2 Hours)

This guided walk covers the historic core of Mykonos Town (Chora), balancing the island's well-known cosmopolitan side with its older, quieter character. Starting from your hotel or the cruise port, you join a small group and head into the labyrinth of whitewashed alleys that make Chora one of the most distinctive town centres in the Cyclades. The route takes in Manto Square and the statue of Manto Mavrogenous, the heroine of the Greek War of Independence, before moving into the boutique-lined Matogianni district. From there, the walk continues to the iconic Five Windmills ridge, which overlooks the harbour, and down to Little Venice — the row of medieval houses whose balconies extend over the sea. The final stop is Panagia Paraportiani, a cluster of four interconnected chapels that forms one of the most photographed buildings in Greece. Along the way, your English-speaking guide shares the stories behind the architecture, the island's maritime history, and the lives of its traditional inhabitants. There is an optional stop at historic Gioras Bakery for anyone who wants to try local pastries — it is not included in the price but worth a few minutes. The tour runs every morning (09:00–11:00) and every evening (18:00–20:00). Complimentary round-trip transfers from hotels and the cruise port are included. Guests staying in remote areas such as Elia, Kalafatis, Super Paradise, or Panormos pay a supplement of €10 per person, settled in cash on the day. The route involves narrow, uneven medieval streets, so comfortable flat shoes are recommended. Wheelchair users cannot join this tour.
