This private hot air balloon experience takes your group over the Lasithi Plateau at sunrise, floating above terraced fields, stone windmills, and the ridgelines that encircle the valley. The flight lasts approximately 40 minutes and is exclusively for your party — no shared baskets with strangers.
Before lift-off, you watch the balloon inflate and receive a safety briefing from a certified commercial pilot. The basket can be set up with decorations, festive balloons, and a custom music playlist to match the occasion — whether a landmark birthday, a children's celebration, or a gender reveal. After landing, the crew leads a traditional sparkling wine toast and hands out personalised flight certificates.
The ground programme continues with a Greek breakfast box featuring fresh Cretan ingredients, followed by a visit to a local pottery studio. Adults and children work at a potter's wheel guided by resident artisans; the pieces made during the session serve as a keepsake from the day.
The meeting point on the Lasithi Plateau is confirmed roughly 12 hours before departure, timed to actual weather forecasts. Every passenger must provide full name, date of birth, nationality, ID or passport number, and exact weight when booking. Pregnant passengers, children under 6, and guests with recent surgical recovery or significant mobility limitations cannot participate.
