This cruise departs Chania Old Port at 16:30 aboard a modern luxury catamaran, heading west across deep-blue water to Agioi Theodoroi — an uninhabited, protected nature reserve about 20 km offshore. The island is one of the last habitats of the kri-kri, Crete's rare wild goat, and its coastline is made up of rugged cliffs and sheltered coves. Guests are welcomed on board with a glass of Prosecco and Mediterranean finger foods as the catamaran clears the harbour.
Once anchored in one of the island's coves, guests can swim in clear water, snorkel over rocky reefs using the provided masks and fins, try stand-up paddleboarding, or simply float on the pink flamingo inflatable. A freshly prepared variety sushi roll platter is served on deck at 18:00, alongside seasonal fruit, and children's chicken bao buns are available on request. The open bar runs throughout the cruise and includes local white wine, Greek beer, soft drinks, espresso, and protein cocktails.
The return leg at 19:00 is timed to meet the sunset directly on open water, with the sky typically colouring over the western horizon as the catamaran heads back to port. The vessel is equipped with wide front sunbeds, shaded lounges, free Wi-Fi, a marine audio system, and freshwater shower. Maximum capacity is 20 guests, keeping the setting semi-private.
Note: From 1 April to 14 April, and from 1 September to 31 October, all departures are 30 minutes earlier than the standard 16:30 time to align with shifting sunset times. The cruise is weather-dependent; if sea conditions prevent anchoring at Agioi Theodoroi, the catamaran continues along the Chania coastline instead. Passengers must supply full passport or ID details at booking — a port authority requirement. Late arrivals cannot be accommodated once the vessel has cleared port.
